Sports Injuries Treatment

Whilst playing sport and regular exercise has numerous health benefits, it also sometimes results in injuries. Whilst most sports injuries are simple cuts and bruises, some are far more serious. Broken bones, torn ligaments, and tendon and joint damage are all likely to put you out of sport for a considerable length of time. Proper treatment and recovery plans can ensure that you return to sport quickly and safely without the added danger of becoming susceptible to re-injury after an inadequate recovery time.

Common causes of injuries in sport are:

  • Sporting accidents
  • Not warming up properly before exercising
  • Using inadequate equipment or poor technique
  • Pushing yourself too hard (overtraining)
  • A sudden injury – which is the result of a sudden impact or an awkward movement
  • An overuse injury – common in professional athletes it develops over time as a result of overusing certain parts of the body

My therapy treats sports injuries effectively and safely by addressing the root of the problem, removing the pain and allowing normality to be restored. The treatments involve no manipulation, are suitable for all ages, and can be carried out through light clothing if preferred by the client.

Clients generally notice a significant difference after their first treatment. It is not unusual for clients to be completely free of their problem after only two visits.

    Patient Testimonials

“I suffered an injury during the Brighton marathon and had no idea what I had done. I had been to physio but they could not pin point my problem. After one session with Brendan I felt a million dollars, injury found (torn my gluteus maximus) and back running pain free.”
