Elbow Injuries Treatment

There are a number of elbow injuries which affect daily lives, work and sport performance, these are some of the most common elbow complaints:

UCL Injury

The Ulnar Collateral Ligament (UCL) can be damaged to varying degrees of severity. A small strain usually heals itself relatively quickly, however a complete rupture to the UCL could take up to a year to heal properly.

Tennis Elbow

‘Lateral epicondylitis’ as it is officially known results from overuse of the extensor muscles in the forearm. The onset of pain usually heightens gradually in intensity and often results in the lack of ability to perform to the best of your capabilities within sport – or in some cases at all.

Bursitis

Bursitis is the major swelling created after a high impact hit to the elbow. It can often be taken care of with a compression of ice, however drainage and further treatment may be required in more severe cases.

Muscle Strains

Although muscle strains can occur anywhere in the body, the muscles around the elbow are commonly injured. Bicep injuries, for example, can affect the elbow severely and the healing process is often painful and lengthy. However, with proper treatment the muscle can be restored to its healthy state quickly and safely.

My therapy treats elbow injuries and a variety of other issues by addressing the root of the problem, removing the pain and allowing normality to be restored. The treatments involve no manipulation, are suitable for all ages, and can be carried out through light clothing if preferred by the client.

Clients generally notice a significant difference after their first treatment. It is not unusual for clients to be completely free of their problem after only two visits.
