The pelvic floor is a group of muscles and other tissues that form a sling or hammock across the pelvis; its main job is to hold internal organs in place so that they can work properly. It can become weakened over time however; the main causes of issues are childbirth, obesity, radiation treatment and surgery.
Common symptoms include:
- Difficulty/pain when urinating
- Frequent urinary tract infections
- Leaking urine when you cough, laugh, or exercise
- Urgent/frequent need to urinate
- Feeling heaviness, fullness, pulling, or aching in the vagina
- Seeing or feeling a “bulge” or “something coming out” of the vagina
- Constipation
My therapy can help to treat issues related to pelvic floor weakness by addressing the root of the problem, removing the pain and allowing normality to be restored. The treatments involve no manipulation, are suitable for all ages, and can be carried out through light clothing if preferred by the client.
Clients generally notice a significant difference after their first treatment. It is not unusual for clients to be completely free of their problem after only two visits.
